Here We Go

We’re back from a few days at the cottage. Loved it! It was particularly awesome because we got to hang out with Jon’s brother Mike, his wife Laurie and their it-should-be-illegal too cute little girl Olivia. We drank, listened to White Zombie, ate like kings (thank you Chef Mike), built a 5 star resort for frogs, danced to wickedly cheesy pop music and Jon and Mike scoured the lake for some cool driftwood. You HAVE to check out the picture: we’re talkin’ DRIFT…WOOD. I just about died! And for the first time Reese was the older kid and she adopted the “I’m the cool, older cousin that will help you get your first fake i.d.” role faster than Brangelina adopts kids. I’ve added some pics.

This is it folks, we start the week of tests and scans tomorrow. GAWD! This is just a stupid amount of stress. I want to slam on the breaks and remain in ignorant bliss. But since that’s not an option I just hope these 2 weeks go by fast so we can move on to the next phase of our lives, whatever that is. So if you’ve got a few moments feel free to throw out a prayer, chant or plea, crack a wishbone, blow out a birthday candle, perform a tribal dance or even a ritual sacrifice on one of those pesky backyard raccoons that test your sanity, or if you’ve got enough muscle, pull a few strings with the powers that be. Anything that may tip the scale in our favour. You’d be our bestest friend, like, forever!!!  But seriously, if you could put in a good word for Reese we’d truly appreciate it.  Love to all who have been supporting us through all this.
