Just a quick update because I’m dawg tired and I’m about to get horizontal on the couch and watch a mindless movie. Things went smoothly today. We got to the CT scan area at 10:00 and Reese was sedated and ready to go by 11:00. Dude, that is SUPERSONIC speed! We’ve had to wait hours before and that ain’t pretty when your child is cranky as hell because she isn’t allowed to eat anything past midnight. We spent some time checking out the CT scan machine. A beast of a thing that Reese eyed warily at first. But she said “it not scary” and “it no problems.” At the same time she nodded vigorously when I said she was going to be asleep while we were taking the pictures. She played with some stuffed animals they had in the room and was generally relaxed about it.
When I left the room I hightailed it to a bathroom, had myself a little weepy moment, then sucked it up, went downstairs, read a Vanity Fair article about Lady Gaga and felt better. My take on the article: she’s nuts, but she’s awesome. At 12:30 I was called into the recovery room as Reese was waking up. She was super groggy, a bit confused and lacked some muscle control as evidenced by her head bashing into my collar bone. But after they took her vital signs we were allowed to leave. So I grabbed my groggy, confused, slightly floppy-necked child and headed home. After no more than 10 minutes in the car Reese was back to normal, at home we chilled out and snuggled and by 3:00 we were kicking the ball around in the back yard. A successful day. So that’s it. Now we wait. Thursday we get the results. Thanks to everyone for sending an extra hit of positive vibes, prayer and hollers of NED! NED! NED! I really appreciate it!!! Love to all.

Saying EXTRA prayers today, tonight, tomorrow for all of you.
Thinking of you lots but more on Thursday at 2:00 pm !!
